Who (besides Carniae Dragonblood) asked for this?!

I'm sorry, but I expect a bit more thought, even if the developers are busy with Nightfall. This is an insult. Especially when we gave Gaile a 200+ post thread of ideas. I don't remember this idea being suggested at all.

I doubt they will change it (after its been announced)

ANET is probably trying to give incentive for capturing skills to help with Heros in Nightfall

I agree this is the weakest offering to date

They're definitly getting to the bottom of the barrel for weekend event ideas.

Fortunately I still have quite a few elites to capture on all of my characters, so I might as well get them this weekend.

I have quite a few elites to cap. So... basically, you get 10,000xp for each cap, which means that at, say, 40 skill points, you can actually cap 40+20+10+5+2 = 77 skills. I agree that this is kind of on the weak side though, because there's no way you could actually cap that many skills in a weekend.

What's exp for? Only for Skill points - i got 80 of it, but no cash for SoC...

ArenaNet could make double SoC event - u pay for one SoC, u get two.

Yes I agree that it is kind of "Weak", but be happy that there is a weekend event.

Doesnt anyone see the hypocrisy with this?

Anets too "busy" to give is a finale for the Beta weekend, and yet they are handing us yet more crap Weekend Events that really have limited use, the only thing this helps is Survivors....like some of the last events.

Really Anet.. why are you giving us lame events in the weekends, when you dont even have the time to give us a decent Finale for the NF Beta

I really wish everyone qould quit crying about the weekends A-Net gives us. THEY ARE GOOD NOT BAD! What is so bad about double xp for elite skill caps? Nothing is bad so why are you ranting about it? If you dont like it good for you someone else may, your time may come when they give you what you want but then someone else probably wont like it. I dont see what the problem is, double xp is a good thing.

*yawn*

At least they're still holding events. I don't see why people are getting upset about this. I'm honestly surprised that they are still holding any kind of event whatsoever. I guess this is a good time to start catchin up on capping skills that Hero NPCs might use in Nightfall...

Hmm. Free SoCs for the entire weekend, with the restriction that you can only have one in your skill panel at any given time (ie you have to be out and about capping skills to really take advantage of the special event). Now that would be a more interesting event. Double exp? Meh. Its an event I guess though. Better then nothing.

one of the best weekends yet IMO, with the next chapter there will be 270 Elites, if you decide you want to go for skillhunter, this gives a Very good incentive to get to 180 before nightfall

And to all those who say its crap and all that, just because YOU dont find it usefull, doesnt mean others dont, goes to prove how selfish people really are

This would be great if I had elites I needed and wanted tons of XP. For me, this is a non-event. I'm sure someone, somewhere will be excited.

Until they release a weekend event that actually penalizes us for doing something, then you have no right to complain.

Grow up.
